The WVSCA Executive Board has adopted the "ASCA School Counselor Professional Standards and Competencies" developed by the American School Counselor Association. This document outlines the mindsets and behaviors school counselors need to meet the rigorous demands of the school profession and the needs of pre-K-12 students.
